FLORALS & STRIPES

Tuesday, April 15, 2014

Day 2 of my business trip I was asked to talk about HP products as a blogger. I knew I was going to be sitting for a long time so I wanted to be comfortable but chic.

Chambray: Gap // Skirt: ASOS (old, similar here, here & here) // Heels: Prabal Gurung x Target
Watch: Michael Kors // Bracelets: J.Crew 'Pave Link' & Sweet & Spark // Ring: Vintage find // Nails: Essie 'A Crewed Interest'

Whenever I think about being business casual I always gravitate towards a chambray, though I know denim isn't really considered dressy. Pairing it with a fun, floral pencil skirt dresses it up and makes it business appropriate. Since I was speaking as a blogger, I had to add a punch of fun so I added a bright heel. Finding the stripes background was just an amazing bonus!

So you agree... Chambray can be business casual

    1. Thanks lady! I love a good chambray. Which is why I own quite a few, but I swear they're all different.

  4. Totally agree that chambray can be for both work and play. That skirt and shoe combo was an excellent choice to spice things up a bit!
