They say April showers bring May flowers, but I think this year it brought beautiful sunny weather. May was fantastic! This month's installment includes a short read, amazing dogs, and invisible liner.
Book: What the Dog Saw By Malcolm Gladwell
The beau recommended that I read this one and I couldn't complain. I love all the short stories by Malcolm Gladwell. Some are funny, others are serious, but they're all thought provoking. A favorite of mine is 'The Ketchup Conundrum.' As an avid condiment fan, I found this story educational and funny. It's a great read full of interesting thoughts by an amazing author.
Restaurant: Show Dogs
I've had Show Dogs on my SF eats list for quite some time. When a few of our friends were looking for a cheap, quick bite before heading back on BART, I immediately thought of this spot. Talk about variety! Our buddies enjoyed the corn dog and pancakes (yes, they have a huge breakfast menu). The beau and I split the Hot Link & the House Wild Boar. We all split their amazing garlic and bbq fries.
I can't wait to go again and sit on their outdoor patio and enjoy another tasty dog!
I'm never one to say no to a little pop of color, especially when it comes to my lips. One of my pet peeves of rocking a bold lip is that the color can feather (run off the lip and onto the skin) and fade quickly. I recently stumbled upon this clear liner that prevents both of those things and I couldn't be happier. It's great with bold colors like this 'Risk it All' by bareMinerals.
